Mark is a physical therapist, a nationally recognized instructor, a speaker and an inventor.

As a physical therapist, Mark specializes in manual orthopedic therapy restoring people's function by focusing on them holistically, as an integrated system; not as individual pains.  Mark has over 18 years experience in manual orthopedic physical therapy. Mark received his Bachelors degree from Muhlenberg College, then later received his Masters in Physical Therapy from Touro College.  He studied manual therapy with The Institute of Physical Art, under Gregg and Vicky Johnson and received his certification, The CFMT (Certified Functional Manual Therapist), in 2003.  With more than 200,000 licensed PT's in the United States, less than 300 have received the distinction of being a Certified Functional Manual Therapist.  He was a nationally recognized primary instructor with the IPA for more than 15 years.  Mark is also an Adjunct Professor for Touro College: School of Allied Health Sciences: Physical Therapy Program.

He was founder and owner of the thriving practice, North Island Physical Therapy, PC in Stony Brook, New York for 11 years.  He has since sold North Island Physical Therapy with the goal of continuing to treat patients with advanced manual therapy techniques and further progress his expertise.  Mark is now owner and sole treating Physical Therapist of Marino Physical Therapy, PC in Lake Grove, New York.  www.markmarinopt.com

Mark is creator of The Conquer Your Pain Formula. His mission is to reach as many people as possible in order to help them to realize their strengths and their ability to create positive change in their own lives.

Mark was involved in a serious motor vehicle accident with severe injuries and multiple surgeries. He suffered with chronic pain for years. His experiences, as both a Physical Therapist and a person dealing with chronic pain himself, led him to develop strategies that allowed him to conquer his pain. Now he lives a pain-free life and he has developed his strategies into a formula, The Conquer Your Pain Formula, that anyone can use to conquer pain.
